On the subject of mental hospitals. In June 1978 The Cramps played a free concert for patients at Napa state mental hospital.
In March 2003 this gig was reenacted by two artists at the institute of contemporary arts and filmed.

Reenactment has become an important and influential art practice, the Jonestown massacre and the miners strike of the 1980's are among some of the events that have been reenacted.
Artist Rod Dickinson has reenacted part of Milgram's Authority to Obedience experiment.
Why not stage your own reenactment? Plenty of studies to choose from. Would that be Art? Would you be an artist?
Or would that just be crazy?.
