Further evidence that Neanderthals may not have been as dumb as once thought has just been published. Swiss biologists have examined three infant Neanderthal skulls and found that their brains at birth were similar in size to modern Homo Sapians. There is also evidence that their brains grew more quickly than modern human brains and may even have been bigger.
